How to promote your coaching business outside of Instagram

Remember the other week when Insta and Facebook went down for the evening and everyone was losing their minds?

Wild times. It was a very sobering call to a lot of business owners that they need to diversify their marketing and not rely solely on one platform.

So coaches, here are six other things you can do to promote yourself outside of Zuckerberg’s evil realm of influence in the Metaverse…

Update your website SEO

Think about the kind of searches you want to show up in, and make sure these are weaved seamlessly into your website copy so that Google knows who you are and what you’re about. Check in on this regularly and keep it up to date.

Record a podcast

I love when I can hear coaches and thought leaders talk confidently on their specialist subjects and answer questions. With a podcast, you get to share a bit of your personality and let your audience get to know you through their headphones, which is great for any role where you need to build trust with your client.

Work on your PR

Get pitching ideas to the publications your clients read. Always do your research first, and get some high quality pics of yourself to send with your pitches so that your chances of being published are higher.

Write articles for LinkedIn

This is the easiest, quickest and cheapest option here. Sharing articles on LinkedIn allow you to get your knowledge out there and invite debate and discussion on whatever topic you’re talking about.

Share a newsletter

Your newsletter should be a solid part of your marketing strategy and sent out regularly (which is a lot of work, I know, I ALWAYS forget to do mine!).

Get out and network IRL

We’re allowed out now! Go to Eventbrite, see what’s happening in your area, and get out there!!

What else do you do to promote yourself? Let me know in the comments!
